🔪 Instructions
The steps to make the cucumber and ginger water are really simple.
First, wash the cucumber, lemon, and ginger thoroughly. Then, peel the ginger (picture 1) by scraping the peel with the tip of a spoon, it will come off easily. Next, slice everything in rondelles: cucumber, ginger and the lemon (Picture 2).
Next, add the cucumber, lemon, and ginger in a glass pitcher and of course, the water. Stir the ingredients.
Lastly, place in the fridge for at least two hours to allow the ingredients to infuse and the water to cool. You may add ice cubes if you wish at the moment of serving.
Tip: for an extra lemony taste, squeeze a lemon juice to add into the ginger cucumber lemon water.
⭐ What Are The Benefits Of Cucumber Lemon Ginger Water
Cucumber lemon ginger water, also known as infused water or detox water, is a popular beverage that offers several potential benefits. Here are some of the benefits associated with consuming cucumber lemon ginger water:
- Hydration: Infused water is a great way to get more fluid throughout the day is plain water is not your thing.
- Nutrient boost: Cucumbers, lemons, and ginger all contain various vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Cucumbers are a good source of vitamin K and contain some vitamin C and potassium. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. Ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory properties.
- Refreshing taste: Cucumber lemon ginger water has a refreshing and flavorful taste. It can be a pleasant alternative to sugary beverages, helping to reduce overall calorie intake and improve hydration habits.
- Detoxification: While the concept of "detoxing" is often overhyped, lemon and ginger are believed to have detoxifying properties and can potentially aid digestion and promote a healthy metabolism.
- Digestive support: Ginger is commonly used to soothe the digestive system and alleviate symptoms such as bloating, nausea, and indigestion.
Although, it has potential benefits, it is not a magical potion and should be part of an overall healthy lifestyle. Additionally, these are suggestions and I am not a nutritionist, it's always a good idea to consult with your healthcare professional before making any significant changes to your diet.
💭 Recipe FAQs
I would not recommend keeping the water in the fridge more than 48 hours. The ingredients will not taste as fresh.
That is a great idea and I have done it a few times! The flavours are not as pronounced but it is still delicious and refreshing. I add ice cubes if I refill as I don't want to wait for a few hours while it chills in the fridge.
While this is a great way to help your digestive system and boost your body, drinking it regularly should not impact you. However, since we all tolerate things differently, you should always talk to a professional when making a decision that could affect your health.

Every time I have cucumber water at the spa (not that it happens very often), I always think to myself "I should make this at home!" and then I never do. Now I have very few excuses left since you've given us a recipe ;)

Every time I get cucumbers in the CSA (which is often right now), I drink the crap outta cucumber water Mélanie! It feels so indulgent (hello, day spa retreat) yet it's so economical. Especially with how many are showing up at the farmer's market right now. Plus I love lime so throw some fresh herbs, citrus and cucumbers in a pitcher and call me one happy lady! Or at least, one happy person drinking delicious water, hydrating like a mo fo and loving every minute of it (I'm really not that much of a lady ;) )
So glad to be a part of FBC with you!! xo!
